Morry Family of Devon and Newfoundland
Descendants of James Minto
This family tree includes all
of the descendants of James Minto as far as I have been able to research it to
date (362 individuals, 121 families). I have not spent as much time on this line
as it deserves but it was well researched by my late aunt, Jean Morry
Funkhouser, and has been somewhat augmented by contacts with descendants from
this line since I took over. It does not contain information on the families of
spouses of his descendants. For privacy reasons, the names and details of
living individuals are left out.
Edinburgh Castle, where the Royal Newfoundland Regiment was honoured to be
garrisoned during their early training in WWI. Howard Leopold Morry climbed
down from these walls more than once to go AWOL in order to meet his future
bride, Fredris Marion Powdrell Minty.
