Descendants of Joseph A. Wheeler
This family tree includes all of the descendants of Joseph A. Wheeler as far as I have been able to research it to date (538 individuals in 181 families). My efforts to research this line have been stymied by a lack of records, other than incomplete church records, for poor fisher folk in Newfoundland. It does not contain information on the families of spouses of his descendants. For privacy reasons, the names and details of living individuals are left out.
Outer Cove at the turn of the 20th century. From this little fishing community the earliest Wheelers in the family most likely set out to earn a meagre living before turning to farming along the Torbay Rd. as their primary occupation.
