Marie J Sullivan - (January 20, 1926 - March 6, 2022) - It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Marie J. Sullivan of Calvert, aged 96 years, on March 6, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.
Predeceased by her husband, Martin (2001), parents James and Margaret Keough, siblings Aidan, Kevin, Jim, Catherine, Sr Adrienne, Anna and Elsie, and daughters-in-law Sandra Blackwood Sullivan and Debbie Paquette.
Leaving to mourn her treasured family of which she was always the center; 12 devoted children: Karl, Loyola (Verna), Edna MacAlpine (Howard), Don (Liz), Con (Eileen), Rowena Warren (Bob), Gary (Heather), Martina Reddick (Walter), Andy (Pam), Martin (Catherine), Blaine (Kim), Heather Carter (Trevor), 31 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Mom was proud of her family and cherished her time with everyone, individually and together. We admired Mom's strength and independence to do things her way until the end.
Resting at Fahey's Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 9 from 2-9 p.m. Funeral service to take place on Thursday, March 10 at 11:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, Calvert. Interment to follow at Holy Trinity Cemetery Ferryland.
While no amount of time would feel long enough to have Mom with us, we celebrate her wonderful life and are grateful for many happy memories of our times together.
