Morry Family of Devon and Newfoundland
Descendants
of Patrick Quinlisk
This family tree includes all of the
descendants of Patrick Quinlisk as far as I have been
able to research it to date (534 individuals in 160 families). My efforts to
research this line have been stymied by a lack of records other than incomplete
church records for poor Irish Roman Catholic families in Ireland. The Quinlisks seem to have been better off than most of their
peers and so there is a degree of better information concerning this family
than the O'Briens. Nevertheless, I hasten to add that
I hold little confidence in any of the information shown here for the first two
generations. The tree does not contain information on the families of spouses
of his descendants. For privacy reasons, the names and details of living
individuals are left out.
The area surrounding the small hamlet of
Cloughjordan in County Tipperary, North Riding. The Quinlisks
lived in several of the Townlands shown over the generations but wound up
finally owning property which they farmed (and still do) in the Behamore area (Behamore Hawkshaw and Behamore Smith).
These are not clearly shown on the map but are to the north centre in this
representation of the area.
