William Killigrew died intestate on 22 May 1890, aged 40 years, leaving an estate valued at $1600. He was predeceased by his father William in 1878, and his grandfathers: John Killigrew in 1853 and William G. Bradshaw in 1858. William was survived by his mother Julia (Bradshaw); two brothers: John and Henry Killigrew; and five sisters: Emily, wife of Rev. Henry Skinner; Jeanette, wife of George Anderson; Kate Killigrew; Hannah Killigrew; and Jane Killigrew. John Killigrew asks the Court for permission to administer his brother's estate.
