Unknown who this man belongs with but his gravestone and that of his wife appear amongst all the other Windsors and Paynes in St. Philip Churchyard

080119:

Additional information found today includes the birth/baptism of several children in the Aquaforte section of the Petty Harbour register and the 1921 Census which seem clearly to pertain to this couple, though she is shown as Elizabeth or may Elizabeth on the birth/baptism records and as Bessie on the Census. I expect her full name was Mary Elizabeth and they used that on her gravestone even though she was never known as such in life.

I am still no closer to finding out to which family William belongs however as I did not find a birth/baptism record for him in the register. But the fact that his name as it is known is William H. Payne is a strong indication that he is a missing son in the family of William Henry Payne. There is a gap in the Petty Harbour register for Aquaforte for the time of his birth. I feel strongly that this birth was somehow omitted in the record so even though this is purely conjecture I am adding him to this family today.
