From - The Telegram, St. John's, Newfoundland. March 17, 2004 ROSSITER, Mary "Monica" (nee Rice) - of Cape Broyle: July 22, 1913 - March 16, 2004. Passed peacefully away at the Hoyles-Escasoni Complex in the presence of her loving family. Predeceased by her husband, Matthew and infant sons: Con and Richard; her brothers: Con, Tom, Dick and Ned and sisters: Liz, Bride, Ellen and Kit. Left with many happy memories are her children and their families: Bride Hawkins (Phonse), Glenda, Paula, Carolyn, Maureen and Suzanne; Raymond (Enid), Jamie and Stephen; Dot O'Brien (Andrew), Andrea and Aaron; Tillie Sullivan (Joey), Darren, Derek and Daniel; Muriel Ronayne (Martin - deceased), Tracey and Tina; Marion Murphy (Charlie), Barry and Diane; Pat (Linda) and Evan. Also her precious great-grandchildren: Zachary and Garrett Johns; Clinton and John Agriesti; Santana and Devon Murphy; Bethany, Cavin and Andrew Rossiter; Nicholas Dunne; Noah Sullivan, Landon Young, Victoria Sullivan and Bridget Duff. Her sister, Dot MacIntosh, Boston, Mass; special niece: Edna Boland; brothers-in-law: Joseph, Raymond, Fred and Phonse Rossiter; and sister-in-law, Rita Rossiter; and the many friends she had made over the years who affectionately knew her as Mrs. Mon. She died as she had lived, with a smile for everyone to the end. The family would like to thank the Nursing Home staff of North 1 for their care and kindness to Mommy since Oct. 2000 and to all those who visited her over the years. Thanks also to the home care workers who attended to her while she was still at home in Cape Broyle. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Ryan's Funeral Home, Bay Bulls. Visitation from 7-10 pm, March 17th and 2-10 pm on March 18th. Mass of Christian Burial on March 19th at 11 am from Immaculate Conception Church, Cape Broyle. Interment to follow at Our Lady of the Cape Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or a donation in her memory may be made to a charity of one's choice. She never danced her own little dance, oh she never danced all day. And now she can dance her own little dance, and now she can dance away.
