271207: I really am not sure that this man is a brother of Jamie's G Grandfather but it makes sense that he should be as the name Morgan is definitely in her family and this man and his father are likely her G. Grand-Uncle and G.G. Grandfather. Only three O'Brien's appear in Griffiths for Aghnameadle, which is the name of the large parish surrounding Toomevara. they are Morgan Sr., Morgan and William. It seems almost certain that they are father and two sons.

There were three Morgan O'Briens having children in Toomevara all at the same time. I am speculating that they were three first cousins, all first born sons, whose paternal grandfather was named Morgan. This one had a son named William, same name as his brother. The reference to Bunacum jives with the location of the farm (house, offices and land) occupied by Morgan Jr. as a lessee from Rev. John M. Dawson in Griffiths. The 2-6 was the fee paid 2 shillings and 6 pence.

Without knowing the significance of the stones she was photographing, Jamie photographed the stones of Morgan O'Brien and his wife Margaret Pound at Kilkeary cemetery during a visit there in May 2013. I am convinced that these are Jamie's 3rd great grandparents. The years of their deaths and ages at that time, combined with information on landowners in Grigffiths Evaluation mentioned in the General notes for their presumed son, Morgan O'Brien Sr., seem to give strong evidence of this. Unfortunately there are no church records of that vintage which can prove the connection.

His gravestone reads:

"Here lies the body of Morgan O'Brien of Annamedle who Depd this life Dec 30th 1820 Aged 66 Yrs may the Lord have mercy on his soul Amen"
