At this stage I do not know if this John Steer is a relative to the Steer family that intermarried with the Moreys in Dartmouth but it seems likely since he is buried near Matthew Morry I and his relatives in the Northside Burial Ground in Ferryland.

I will research this person to attempt to make the connection, if there is one. For now he remains detached from the family tree.

I am fairly confident that this is the correct marriage for this couple. I only knew her Christan name was Mary from the birth record of their son John Steer but the surname Weeks is closely associated with all of my family members in Dartmouth so this seems a good possibilityt.
