It indicates that Deceased was the widow of the late Peter Tessier of London, England. [Funeral held on the day entry was published, April 2.] Says she was 58 at time of death.

160906: There is a great deal of conflict between the information I imported from Harcourt Gardiner's GEDCOM and what I had from Enid O'Brien and Gert Crosbie's newspaper accounts of this family. Whether Maria and Sarah Germon are one and the same person is in question. And if not were they sisters who both married Peter Weston Carter one after the other? Or is it possible that the Peter Tessier I have merged with what I had already is not the same person that Harcourt Gardiner had in his records, since that person and his family evidently lived and died in England, not Newfoundland.
