BRAGG, Isabel (Gibbons) - Passed peacefully away on January 19, 2009 at St. Patrick's Mercy Home, Isabel Bragg in her 99th year. Predeceased by her husband Fred in 1989. Left with fond and loving memories are her children: Bud Bragg (Helena), Blanche Fowler Hochwald (Ulrich), Nora Clarke (Herb) and Andrea Fugate (Grover); her grandchildren: Steve Bragg (Lori), Trini Bragg, Lindsay Boland (David), Paul Fowler (Karen), Ken Fowler (Stacey), Barry Fowler (Margaret), Joanne Chafe (Doug), Dennis Clarke (Maria), Fraser Clarke (Amy), Gillian Clarke Connors (Stephen), Amy Fugate and Heather Fugate; her great-grandchildren: Sarah, Katie and Luke Fowler; Gregory and Maria Chafe; Amy Fowler; Grace, Campbell and James Clarke; Colin Connors; and, Avery, Sydney Nora and Molly Isabel Clarke. Also special niece Brenda Tobin. Isabel was employed by the Postal Telegraph Company having worked in Grand Bank, Garnish, Lamaline, Burin, Marystown, Placentia and St. John's. She was working in Marystown at the time of the tidal wave in 1929. Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home on Freshwater Road with visitation on Wednesday, January 21, 2009 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, January 22, 2009 at 9:30 a.m. from St. Pius X Church on Smithville Crescent with interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations can be made in her memory to a charity of one's choice.
