120817:
From an interview with his sister, Madeline, sent to me by Shannon Wheeler:

Will went to the war and he came back and he was in an office and he was awfully nervous (PTSD) He couldn't get over being confined. Our neighbor was a surveyor and he got a job from the Government surveying the land that they were going to give returning soldiers. Everybody got a ¼ section of land, so Will went with this neighbor, Williams, up into the interior and he loved it up there and he took up a ½ of a section of land near Quesnel and he built a little cabin.
Mother, Floss, Hettie and I went up to visit him on summer and stayed in the ranch with him. He had a cattle ranch and it was quite a success and he managed to ship carloads of cattle but then he married a nurse from Quesnel and family began to arrive. They had 2 boys and 2 girls and so he got a job in Quesnel running the business end of something. Did very well. Finally he died of cancer and then that left the 7 girls.

Notes
General:
110620:

Note that there is a serious error in the transcription of the gravestones in Mount Carmel cemetery as given in the NL GenWeb site. Wilson Bradshaw, the brother of Francis L. Bradshaw is shown as "William". If this were correct that would mean that he had a brother named William and another named William George, clearly incorrect.

The FHSNL transcripts of the same headstones correct this error and show this man as Wislon Bradshaw:

54WILSON J.BRADSHAW
1873/03/2269COMMEMORATED WITH 2 OTHER PEOPLE

I am making the necessary corrections today.
