General:
150313: First name spelled a variety of ways in various records. Most convincing is the way it was spelled in an article on whaling in Outing Magazine Volume 62, 1913 where it shows him as Capt. Reidar Jacobsen. Google shows a number of Norwegians by this name and spelling.

110313: His surname is misspelled Jecobsen and his Christian name is spelled Reider so I do not know whether to trust that spelling or the one I have (Radair) which is just based on personal communication.

Kathleen's age is given as 20, which does not correspond with other records. It is possible that she was much older - her death record indicated she was 40, which would mean she was actually 30 when she married, much older than her husband, which could have been an embarrasment to her.
