By 1935 he is dead and she has remarried Joshua Chislett in Heart's Delight and has her daughter Edith with her and also a "son" Monroe. She is well beyond child bearing age so it is more than likely that this was an illegitimate child of Edith's

I am connecting this Mary Chislett and William Reid to a family tree provided by Paul Cohen which does indeed link her back to Jane Chislett. One discrepancy however is that formerly I had her deceased by the time of the 1921 Census as evidently she did not appear in that census whereas Paul has her dying in 1958 in Vancouver. Needs more research to be certain I have merged the two correctly.
