Obviously there is a man named Alexander Morey, Morrye or Mawry who is the father of several children, some whose christenings are registered at Totnes and some at Exeter. It is not clear that he is the same man however.

Unlike events registered at Totnes, which could have occurred in any of the little villages of the South Ham region for which Totnes served as the administrative registry centre, an event shown as occurring in Paignton more than likely did take place right in that town.
Notes
General:
Geoffrey Williams provides this colourful note about Gregory Mawry in his email 366 on 10/08/00:
"1569Gregory MAWRYE M MST 1569 KLN Maunder MAWRY English MAUNDER Calverly Tiverton District of Mid Devon DEV ENG Blue 019 KLN Maunder Morey Forum
Note Gregory MST was in a muster roll at Calverly, Tiverton, Districtof Mid Devon 1569. He was quite away from home, but England needed to hold rock solid against the Pope who was ready to send armies and navies to attack the cause of his loss of income."
In his email 371 on 20/08/00 he adds a great deal more information about this and subsequent speculated generations:
"We are back to the time of the Reformation and finding Gregory's parents will need a lot of luck. It will be virtually impossible. But another marriage in the same area might suggest a name of a sibling or cousin:

160307: There is a will at the PRO that I received a copy of from Documents online. It is dated 1617 and it is in the name of Gregory Mawrie, a barber from Exeter. I believe that this may be the same man. Unfortunately, the writing is so ornate that it is virually impossible to read what the will says about him and his relations.

Here is a transcript of that will published on GENUKI:

This raises the question of whether this is the same Gregory Mawrie who married English Maunder or whether he married a second time to a woman named Joane before his death.
310314:
I just found this additional reference to the same man on Ancestry.com which proves it cannot be the Gregory Mawry who married English Maunder because he would have been well over one hundred years old when this event occurred:
