Notes
General:
150816:

Apparently, Lilias did not marry. She is seen using her maiden name on the manifest of a vessel returning to Scotland in 1954.

Because of her age and the lack of a birth record, there is a possibility that Lilias was not the daughter of Christina McKinnon but rather of one of her daughters.

This is interesting because in 1925 her husband James is shown as the owner of this "cellar" but actually living at 26 Robertson Ave., a rented property. I presume the cellar was not fit for habitation and they moved out whenever the could afford to do so.

Notes
General:
160816:

The postcard enclosed in the media gallery which is from "Aunt May" to Phyllis on her first birthday posed a bit of a problem in terms of identifying which person this was. Initially I thought it must be Fredris's sister Mary. But then when I read the part of the note that is written on the back of the card (the remainder of the note, written on a second sheet of paper apparently appears to be missing) the writer hesitates to say that Grandmother Minty was much loved, indicating that she may never have known her personally. That is why I think that Aunt May is more likely Mary McKinnon, the wife of James Minty, Fredris's brother.
