From David Wells 091108: PAUL, Joseph (Joe) - Passed peacefully away at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital, St. John's on Friday, October 17, 2008 Joseph Paul (Joe) of Ferryland, age 77 yrs., surrounded by his loving family. Joe is predeceased by his loving wife Mary, his parents Annie and Hiliary Paul and brother John. Leaving to mourn with saddened hearts, but fond loving memories three daughters: Eileen (David), Audrey (Cyril), Juanita (Rick); five sons: John (Bernadine), Brian (Marilyn), Desi (Monnie), Fraser (Marlene), Chris (Daphne); 14 grandchildren: Dale, Johnny, Scott, Lee, Amy, Blair, Rebecca, Lisa, Justin, Bradley Paul, Janice, Eddie (Rachel) Sheppard, Hillary and Emily Oxford; four great-grandchildren: Abigahl O'Neill, Edward, Edison, Sydney Sheppard; Special companion Madeline Clowe and family, extended family Darlene, Randy and Emma Hayes; four brothers: Jim, Phil (Pauline), Pete (Bride) and Phonse; two sisters: Marie Shannahan, Kathleen Clowe, sisters-in-law: Annie Jordan (Bren), Florence Stowe and brother-in-law William O'Brien; Special friend Gertie Sesk and many other close relatives and friends. Joe is a retiree of NL Light & Power Co. and was a life-long businessman. His zest for living life to the fullest and love for family and friends will forever live in our hearts. Resting at Fahey's Funeral Home, Fermeuse on Sunday, October 19 and Monday October 20 from 2 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian burial on Tuesday, October 21 at 11 a.m. from Holy Trinity Church, Ferryland. Kathleen (Kit) Clowe - Passed peacefully away on July 7th, 2016 surrounded by her loving family at home in Ferryland. Predeceased by her devoted husband Edward, parents Hilary and Anne, Brothers John, Alphansus, and Joseph (Mary) and only sister Marie (Joachim). Kit lived a beautiful, full life filled with lots of love, music, family and friends. Well known for her kind-hearted, witty, and outgoing personality. Kit loved cooking, baking, going for drives, Tim Horton's runs, concerts, kitchen parties and making memories with her family. Left to mourn are her five children, Marie (Tom), John (Rosie), Mona (Cyril), Delbert and Otto (Bernie). Her brothers, James, Phil and Pete (Bride). Loved and always missed by her 18 grandchildren, especially her dedicated granddaughter, Katie, who never left her side, 30 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews and a large circle of family and friends. Special thank-you to her homecare workers, most recent worker, Lorna Ferrar and special care and support given from Lena Walsh, all Doctors and staff at St. Claire's Mercy Hospital, Dr. McGarry, Ferryland Community Practitioners, Dan O'Brien, Janette Kenny, Parish Priest and frequent visitors. On behalf of her family, thank-you to everyone who loved and supported our family. Kit was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter and friend who will be dearly missed, always loved and never forgotten. Visitation taking place on Saturday, July 9 and Sunday July 10 from 2:00 pm - 9:00 pm at Fahey's Funeral Home in Fermeuse with Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, July 11 at 11:00 am. Celebration of Life to follow at Clowe residence in Ferryland. Flowers gratefully appreciated or donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Newfoundland and Labrador.
