Thomas trained at St. Bartholomew's Hospital, London - was a surgeon i n Padstow in 1823 -later in London, St. Austel & perhaps Par. He and h is wife are buried in nearby St. Blazey cemetery. It seems he was extr emely well thought of as a doctor, but that he had a bit of a drinkin g problem - this information from the various letters family membersha ve in their possession.
