Notes
General:
Listed as being a fisherman from "Payne's Room" in Aquaforte voter's list of 1840
010720:
He is absent from the Voters Lists for several years between 1840 and 1847 and then reappears before disappearing completely. It is not known whether he died at this time or moved away. His absences may have meant that he did not own his own abode in these years. This was a condition of being allowed to vote. His residence varied quite a bit on the lists where he did appear including Payne's Room as mentioned above (presumably his father-in-law's home) as well as Witchhazel Hill, the Glen and North Side. While all these locations were on the North Side of Aquaforte they were not near enough to one another to be substitutes for each other so it would appear that he changed abodes almost annually and was therefore probably not a very successful fisherman.
