Albert Joseph Walsh - (July 23, 1942 - April 16, 2021) - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Albert Walsh of Aquaforte, aged 78 on Friday, April 16. Predeceased by his wife, Shirley; parents, William and Kathleen Walsh; brother, Victor Walsh; and niece, Janine Walsh.
Leaving to mourn: his daughters: Kathy (Glenn Jackman); Brenda; Bill (Erin); and seven grandchildren: Kayla, Adam, Braden, Madison, Connor, Ava, and Claire. Also left to mourn: his brothers, Cyril (Sandra), and Kevin (Shirley), aunt, Madonna Croft, special niece Allison, sisters-in-law, Edna Breen, Viola Clowe, Madeline Clowe and Elizabeth Graham; and many other cherished nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Al was a loving father. Taking care of his family was always his priority. Being a fisherman all his life is what he enjoyed the most. If he wasn't home with his family he was on the water, or in the woods, enjoying what nature had to offer. Whether he was picking berries, trouting, catching rabbits, or cutting and paring wood, he was in his element. He also loved going to dances and playing cards.
A heartfelt thank you to our very special angel on earth, Christopher Maher, who provided care to Al in the last year of his life. We could never have gotten through this without him.
Special thank you to Dr. Peter Morry, nurses Michelle Rossiter, Audrey Dalton, social worker Mary Rossiter, and Katie Boland (Baltimore Pharmacy) for providing excellent care.
Al was a friend to all and lived his life to the fullest.
Visitation on Sunday, April 18, 2021 from 2 pm to 9 pm at Fahey's Funeral Home, Fermeuse. Mass of Christian Burial Monday, April 19, 2021 at 11 am from Holy Trinity Church, Ferryland. Interment at Our Lady of Fatima Cemetery, Aquaforte.
