This is new information from a family tree provided by Paul Cohen and needs to be verified since it is not sourced. I believe the original information came from the Eldred Chislett family history published in the Newfoundland Ancestor, Vol. 20, No. 1, 2004, but that article provided no sources for the infomation offered. Paul says the source is the Vital Stats for Heart's Delight.

Paul pointed out that Eldred referred to this man as Absalom Welsh in one place in the above article but then referenced article but then called him John Welsh later in the same article where he gave a family tree of the Chisletts and kin. It is more than likely that John was an error but for now I am keeping both possibilities.
