The fact there was a William Chislett and a Willis Chislett of about the same age in Island Cove at this time and both were apparently married to a Sarah Naomi (sometimes referred to as Sarah and sometimes as Naomi in the records) make for a great deal of confusion. I am sure that there were two different couples, because they were having children only weeks or months apart. But I am not sure that the births were all recorded correctly to the right pair of parents.

"CHISLETT, Clayton R. - Passed away on Monday, June 8, 1998 at the Health Sciences Center, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Clayton R. Chislett, Floral Manager at Holland Nurseries, aged 51 years. Predeceased by his mother, Mary (1989). Leaving to mourn his loving and devoted wife and best friend, Rosalind (nee Kiss); his father, Jacob of Islington; four devoted sisters: Patsy (Mrs. Max Bishop), Cavendish, Doris (Mrs. Al Mills), St. John`s, Audrey (Mrs. Rick Williams), Squamish, B.C., Sandra (Glen Jackson), St. John`s; one brother, Ted (Annie), Islington; cherished mother-in-law Mary Kiss, St. John`s; sister-in-law Judy (Mike) Ryan, St. John`s; two brothers-in-law: Jerry (Judy) Kiss, Hamilton and Gordie (Jackie) Kiss, St. John`s; a number of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at Carnell`s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road.
