There is an apparent error in the dates of birth of Andrey Bulko or his son Andrew F. Bulko as the son would have been born when the father was around 7. I cannot correct the erroneous date because I do not know which is wrong but given the large gap between the dates of birth of Andrew and his siblings and the fact that he was born years before his parents marriage it seems clear that the birth date of Andrew F. Bulko is the erroneous one. Most likely he was born in 1886 not, 1876.

Edward A. Bulko, 84, of Carroll Township, passed at home in his sleep on Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2020. Ed was born in Monessen, on Dec. 25, 1935, to the late Andrew and Anna Billy Bulko. He graduated from Rostraver High School in 1953 and upon graduation entered the U.S. Air Force and was a ground crew member for the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds. He served with great pride. After his enlistment ended, he returned to the Mon Valley and attended electronic school. For many years he owned and operated Bulko's TV Service. He then went to work at the Hercules Ammonia Plant (now Dyno Nobel) in Donora as their instrumentation specialist. At age 69, he retired from Dyno and then worked 10 more years at First Federal Bank. Ed is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Mariann Cook Bulko; children, Thomas E. (Tabatha), Kathleen (Matthew) Marciak, Edward, Patricia (David) Carlson, Janet (Bernard), David (Linda) Rimsek and Ryan (Simone) Rimsek; and 15 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Veronica (Albert) Forgas. Ed was preceded in death by his brothers, Andrew (survived by Wilma), Joseph (survived by Margaret); sister, Jean (James) Rock; daughter, Josephine; grandson, James Martin; and step-son, Frank Rimsek. Ed was very well liked and would do anything to help anyone. Family and friends will be received beginning at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 10, 2020, at RABE-CHEMAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATIONS LLC, 701 Thompson Ave., Donora, PA 15033, where a memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Inurnment will follow with military honors in Holy Name Cemetery, Monessen. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ed's name to his favorite charities, Wounded Warrior Project or Tunnel2Towers.org. Online condolences may be made at: rabe-cheman.com.
