I have accepted information on her parents as being from Harbour Main based on unsourced data on a family tree on Ancestry. This may prove to be incorrect information.

Gert Crosbie's CD gives slightly different information concerning the order of children in the Dalton family: "Bride was the second daugher of John Dalton of St. John's. Groom was the youngest son of the late Michael O'Driscoll of Mobile. Marriage performed at the residence of the bride's father." This was published on July 3, 1888 in the following newspapers: 1) Gazette (Royal Newfoundland Gazette) 1807- 2) Evening Mercury (then Evening Herald) 1882-1920 3) Evening Telegram (Telegram) 1879-

July 30, 2011 Margaret Ryan (Dalton) - Passed peacefully away at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital, on Thursday, July 28, 2011, Margaret Ryan, aged 87 years, formerly of Calvert. Predeceased by her husband Austin on September 9, 2010, also her parents John and Hannah Dalton, her sisters Hetty, Bride and Joanie, brothers Cyril, James and Mick. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her brothers: Bren (Eileen), Edward (Gert); her sister Ellen (Erwin), Ohio; sister-in-law Madonna Dalton, Cape Broyle, also her dear friends and staff at Fahey's Personal Care Home, Fermeuse where she resided since June 2010. She also leaves to mourn a large number of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Remains resting at Fahey's Funeral Home, Fermeuse. Visitation on Saturday, July 30th from 2-9 p.m. and Sunday, July 31st from 2-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, August 1st at 10:00 a.m. from Immaculate Conception Church, Calvert.
