From Harcourt Gardiner's tree: Left Anduze, Lanquedoc because of religious persecution . Married in Geneva Switzerland in 1696, he was made a citizen of Geneva, Switzerland Feb 13, 1699. Emigrated to London, England in 1712 during Queen Anne's reign. , was naturalized by an Act of Parliament in 1714.

From Christian Holmes' tree: "Left Anduze, Lanquedoc because of religious persicution Became a citizen of Geneva, Switzerland. Admitted to the bourgeoise. Emigrated to London during Queen Anne's reign, was naturalized by an Act of Parliament in 1714 In the name of God Amen. I Stephen Teissier of London Merchant being of sound in body but by the grace of God of sound mind do make my will as follows. ____ I recommend my soul to God in the name and thro' the merits of his dear son Jesus Christ. My redeemer but as for my burial I desire it to be made simply and andwith as little charges as possible. I bequeath to the patrons of the French Church in Threadneedle Street London, the sum of £50 sterling which shall be paid to them immediately after my decease to be distributed to the poor of said church.. I give to Claudine Loubier living ____ Mrs Marion Loubier's 100 Livers C____ money of _____ payable immediately after my decease. I desire that my brother in law Charles Loubier one of the executors of my will take upon my ____ £30 sterling for my nephew John Anthony Loubier and such others that my ____ brother-in-law shall think it fit after my decease and as for all the residue of my estate moveable and immovable and other things without exception that shall be found belonging to me at thetime of my decease as well in this kingdom of Great Brittan as alsowhere I give and bequeath the same to my two sons James and Stephen Teissier to be equally divided between them by halves and the delivery therefore shall be made when they have respectively attained the full age of 25 years ___ my executors shall judge them to be capable to receive and manage their estates before that age in __ ___ they shall be at liberty to make from the said delivery and whereupon they shall be lawfully discharged to nominate and appoint for executors by brother in law Anthony Loubier living in Geneva and Charles Loubier living in London desiring them to take thereof and whereas I am in partnership with my said two brothers in law for one third____ as well in our house at Geneva as that in London. My will and intent is that the last inventory that shall be found to be made before my decease in said both houses shall be taken as a rule of all our affairs and I forbid my children ___ ___ same or demand the revision thereof and of all that shall be done before desiring my executors to makewithin four months of my decease an inventory only what shall have at___ desire the last and to pays to the C___ and my said children what shall all belong to them by virtue of the said inventory, after payment of my just debts due as well here as of Geneva. And in caseone of my children shall happen to dye without issue and before he shall have received his share of my Estate the whole shall go and belongto the survivor of my said children. I recommend to my said children to follow in all things the direction and good advice of their Uncles my Testam___ executors here above named and to live in good union and brotherly love between them …… (1718). The underwritten Stephen Teissier being ___ in body but by the grace of God of sound mind.after the reading over of my will here above written I do declare that this present codicil that my will is ____ brother-in-laws Charles Loubier one of the executors of my will shall take upon efforts aftermy decease what shall be necessary for the mourning of the servants of my said brother-in-law Anthony Loubier's house and mine and for that of my said brother-in-law Charles Loubier not exceeding £50 sterling instead of £30 sterling mentioned in my said will and besides my will is that my said two brothers-in-law Anthony and Charles Loubier shall take what shall be necessary for mourning for themselves their wives and children in a ___ ___ ___. And as for the remainder of my said will I do declare that I confirm the same in all points and whereas since the making thereof the affairs of our house of Geneva are finished all the amounts thereof having being settled and balanced by those of our house in London and my brother-in-law being here at present.
