• Immigration: From Newfoundland, 1890, Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.
• Census: Household of Henry C. Lester, 1901, Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. Note that a niece named Miller Maher is living with them, born nominally 26 Oct. 1887 though his given birth date is wrong and this may be too. Annie's birth date is given as 28 July 1859 and on her death record and gravestone it gives her date of birth as 1857 so I suspect they gave the wrong dates of birth deliberatley for all of them. Not uncommon. A form of protest against a perceived invasion of privacy by the government I think. They were all stated to have immigrated in 1890 which I would be more inclined to believe as it would have been recorded.
• Occupation: Grocer, 1901, Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.
• Living: From obituary of Anne Jennings Windsor Morry, 12 Mar 1903, Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. H. Lester was named as a pall bearer. His brother was married to Anna's sister, so it would seem likely that this was the H. Lester named in the obituary.
