Absence of evidence is generally not recommended to be taken as proof of a hypothesis, but UK church records are so reliable I think we can safely say that the lack of any christening/birth records for children of this couple means that they never had any.
260417:
The marriage was registered at Totnes, where I found it, but Jennie Crisp indicates the actual location of the event was St. Saviour's.
200818:
Actually both of the above are wrong. They did have children and they were married at St. Clement's, not at St. Saviour's

Although this is almost certainly the baptismal record of the man who married Priscilla Sweetland, there is a problem with all the other evidence online pertaining to these parents. Censuses for 1841, 1851, and 1861 all show a William and Mary Ann Silley (or variants of that spelling) in various parts of Devon not far from Dartmouth, their ages as given in these censuses do not add up. The father would have been around 12 or 13 when Thomas was christened as indicated above in 1819. At the moment I do not know how to reconcile these differences and therefore am not adding this information from the censuses.
220616:
In his notes on the purported family tree connecting the Kirkes to the Sweetlands (found in MG281 at The Rooms), Nimshi Crewe says this about this man:
"The name Silly in the Dartmouth epitaph should obviously be Lilly or Lilley, which is what it plainly is in Manuscript no,3"
I don't know whether this is a useful lead or not, since I cannot attach a level of confidence to the various manuscripts given to Nimshi by Mrs Heber Angel (Joyce Isobel R. Dunfield). Though Nimshi suspects the original material on which these manuscripts were based was prepared by Magistrate William Sweetland, he quickly points out that the version he saw was produced much more recently and that even then there were "corrections" or amplifications made after that author had completed his or her work by other unnamed editors. So the whole thing is rather suspect to say the least. Which makes me wonder why Nimshi was so confident that the name would have been Lilly rather than Silly and that the gravestone was wrong while the manuscript was right. There seems to be no reason for him to have come to such a conclusion.
040317:
The fact that William and Mary Ann named a second son Thomas, admittedly with a middle name Tolcher, suggests that their first son of this name died before the second son's date of birth. Like many other things about this family, I cannot reconcile these various facts. Perhaps there were two families of William and Mary Ann Silly who were approximately the same age and having children in Devon during these years.
251121:
Note that the Sweetland-Morry bible entries compiled ostensibly by his grandfather, William Sweetland, says that he was born in Cupids, Newfoundland. There is no other suggestion of this in the records.

Jennie's research notes indicate that this is a second marriage but even so it comes so late in the life of Thomas Silley (her spelling) that I wonder if she may not have gotten the wrong person.• Witnesses: John Puddicombe and Helen White Lidstone, 19 Oct 1846, St. Clement Townstal, Dartmouth, Devon, England.
