According to Nimshi Crewe's notes on the Baltimore-Kirke-Sweetland-Carter family tree, this lady was the custodian of the "original" and possibly the person who transcribed the original from the form in which Nimshi believed it existed when prepared by William Sweetland, JP.
Also, I discovered in a complete online version of "The Beothuks or Red Indians" by James P. Howley, that the author was afforded an opportunity to view the original History of Newfoundland by William Sweetland which was then in her possession. I suspect that this may have been the volume that later fell into the hands of Nimshi personally and that ultimately did wind up at The Rooms, where it rightfully belonged.

It would appear that Dugald and John were a twin but it is possible the date entered in the transcript on NGB was actually a Christening date and not a date of Birth for the two to them.

010419:
There are three pages of Bremner land transactions, conveyances, mortgages and grants, contained in the collection of such in the Northern District Court Record books at the Registry of Deeds dating from 1843-1887, the large majority of which pertain to this Alexander and the remainder to his sons, primarily Alexander Warren and Robert and several grandchildren. They were deeply involved in land speculation, as well as other forms of business endeavours, such as the association with the fish business of Robert Slade of Poole. From this, most of them, especially Alexander, amassed a considerable fortune for those days, as evidenced by his will.
Because they are not blood relations, I am not bothering to copy these various documents.
