Notes
General:
250710:
The placement of Edna and her husband George Bishop. The gravestone appears in the cemetery plot of the Hamlyn family of which Moses was the patriarch. We already knew his surname and that of his wife, Theresa Harnum. So finding a pair of Bishops in that plot made no sense. The key seems to be in the dates of birth and death of Edna Bishop. It is just conceivable that she is not of the generation prior to Moses and Theresa but rather the generation before that, in which case they could ostensibly be the grandparents of Moses or Theresa. There are four choices. But assuming that the name Hamlyn and Harnum carried back through to the respective grandfathers of Moses and Theresa, George and Edna could only be the maternal grandparents of Moses or Theresa. Since we don't know the surnames of the mothers of either of them, it is a toss up whether the Bishops married into the Hamlyn or the Harnum family. On balance, it makes more sense that they are the maternal grandparents of Moses since it is his plot and none of the other Harnums are buried there. So for now I am making the leap that these two are the maternal grandparents of Moses Hamlyn, that is, the parents of his mother Anne, who I am now giving the surname Bishop tentatively.
