Noel.....Reginald, 2nd youngest son of John Noel of SS. Hbr. Grace drowned at Black Island, Labrador, aged 38 ?? Left a wife and 4 children. Reported.. (Aug. 14, 1889) His headstone states that he died in Labrador.. July 23, 1889 aged 33 years.
Reginald was aboard a ship at Labrador hoisting sail when a block came loose and the rope payed out. The line tangled around his legs and he was dragged overboard and drowned. John F. Noel, his 14 year old nephew was on the ship at the time of the accident. Reginald is buried on the Labrador but a headstone was erected in his honor in St. Peter's Anglican Cemetery.

Reginald is buried on the Labrador, however a headstone was erected in his honor in St. Peter's Cemetery, Harbour Grace Southside. Mary Ann, referred to as "Aunt Polly" raised her family in Harbour Grace south in a duplex type house adjacent to Archibald and Edith Noel east of St. Peter's Church. About 1911, she, her daughter Marion, and grandson John F. Sheppard move to Grand Falls to live with her son Alan, who had built a new house on Carmelite Road. She later lived with E.I. and Isabelle Bishop in their new house on Beaumont Avenue. The Bishop house is now the Elks Club. Mary Ann died 25 June 1945 and is buried in the Anglican Cemetery, Grand Falls/Windsor. Her tombstone reads: Mary Noel, Aug. 3, 1856 June 25, 1945. Four children, Marion, Isabel, Rose and Alan.
Simeon Noel was born on 11 Feb 1860 in Harbour Grace, SS, Nfld.. He married Eliza Ann Ewing on 22 Jan 1885 in Harbour Grace, SS, Nfld.. He died on 05 Oct 1938 in Victoria, British Columbia.
