In a series of recent emails between Joan Wenman and myself I have learned that an autobiography of this person's brother was self published by a grandson of his. It is entitled:

The Life and Times of Wm A Sandy Noel ( 2003 ) from Doug Noel, grandson of Sandy

Here is the information imparted in that book pertaining to the relationship between the Noel and Morry family.

James ( Jim ) Ewing Noel ( 1886-1958 )

Jim married Elsie Leonie Morry, and was a ship's pilot engaged in coastal navigation off the BC coast, starting in 1923. At retirement in 1948, he was a master mariner and captain. They had 5 children.

" My oldest brother, Captain J.E. Noel, and his lovely wife, Elsie, both deceased, contributed to the lineage and the Noel family name by raising their three daughters and two sons.. Unfortunately Kathleen, Norman and Gordon have passed away but not before Gordon's vivacious wife, Jocelyn, gave birth to six healthy sons.Their remaining daughter, Peggy, and her husband, Captain Peter Mathews, live in Richmond, B.C. and have one unmarried son, Captain David Mathews, who lives on the East Coast. Peggy is one of my many nieces- and my cherished pipeline for family news. Her grandson, Jeff, has just been accepted into Oxford University- as a Rhodes Scholar."
