William Rollo, 9th Lord Rollo of Duncrub was born on 28 May 1809. He was the son of John Rollo, 8th Lord Rollo of Duncrub and Agnes Greig. He married Elizabeth Rogerson, daughter of John Rogerson, on 21 October 1834.He died on 8 October 1852 at age 43. He gained the rank of Cornet in 1827 in the 1st Royal Dragoons.He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1831.He retired from the military in 1834.He succeeded as the 9th Lord Rollo of Duncrub, co. Perth [S., 1651] on 24 December 1846. He was appointed Representative Peer [Scoltand] between 1847 and 1852.
