The Legion's book, "Lest We Forget, Vol. 16" had this to say about her: "WINDSOR (THORNE), Amelia Thomson Amelia was born on July 3rd, 1897 in Dalbeattie, Scotland. She married Wilfred Montgomery (Mont) Windsor on February 18th, 1919 in Ayr, Scotland. Amelia and her twin sister Daisy both married members of the Royal Newfoundland Regiment. Upon arrival to Newfoundland, Amelia and Mont resided in his hometown of Aquaforte, Newfoundland. Amelia passed away at age 33, leaving her husband and 6 young children. Deceased: March 20th , 1931. Buried: Aquaforte Anglican Cemetery.
