The Legion's book, "Lest We Forget, Vol. 16" had this to say about him: "TILLEY (THORNE), Daisy Holland Daisy, twin sister of Amelia Windsor, was born on July 3rd , 1897 in Dalbeattie, Scotland. She married William Tilley of the Royal
Newfoundland Regiment on June 11th , 1918 in Ayr, Scotland. Daisy and William arrived in Newfoundland to reside in William's hometown of Kelligrews. They were living on Bell Island when Daisy passed away at age 28 years, leaving her husband and 3 young children. Deceased: December 2nd , 1925. Buried: St. Boniface Anglican Cemetery, Bell Island, NL.
