Left one fifth share of estate of sister Emma Ann White in March 1911. The five heirs were: Samuel Goss, Thomas Goss, Mary Hannah Wheeler, Margaret Day and Elizabeth Gushue. The estate was valued at $2779.52 but bequests to various religious organistaions took a good portion of that amount. Presumably other brothers and sisters died before this date.

There are no baptismal records from the Holy Trinity RC church for the period from 1863 to 1870 that can be found either online (Family Search, NGB) or at The Rooms. This is true for both the register pages themselves and the vital records transcripts sent in during the 1940s. I suspect that there was either a fire or other reason for this but have never found evidence of it anywhere. Regardless, it would appear that Elizabeth Gosse was born during that period and that is why I cannot find a birth/baptismal record for her.

On My Heritage today a Match was presented to me that purportedly provided much more detail on her, her husband and their descendants. The information was shown as origitinating on the FamilySearch website. I have no idea whether to trust this information or not because I know the records are missing and therefore wonder how anyone else could have found the correct information.

For example, the person who added this information had as Elizabeth's baptism date 21 July 1880. That was the Christening date of an entirely different Elizabeth Gosse whos parents were John Gosse and Mary Martin.

So I have had to delete this line from my family tree on MyHeritage and not download any of it to my Legacy family tree since I have no way of knowing what to believe and what not to.
