Grace Dedde of Columbia, July 8, 1917 – April 9, 2013
Fair Thee Well Grace Morgan Dedde. On this day, April 9, 2013 Grace Morgan Dedde, at the wonderful age of 95, has left this world and joined those family members who have gone before her into Heaven. She was an only child who was raised by wonderful parents Thomas and Ann Morgan. She then married the late Joseph Nicholas Dedde and expanded her family by five, Joseph Colin, Judy Ann, Thomas Anthony, David Bruce and Cheryl Joy Dedde. She was then blessed with 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She was a life member of the Women's Auxiliary of Chappaqua New York Fire Department. She was a Girl Scout leader in Chappaqua and Yorktown Heights, New York. She was a member of the Home Bureau. She served on the Vestry and was a member of the Episcopal Church Women of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Willimantic. She was a member of the Columbia Senior Center. We are all blessed to have her preside as matriarch of the Dedde Family and care and love each child, grandchild and great-grandchild. We have all equally shared in her love. Fair Thee Well Gram! Her funeral service will be Saturday, April 13, 2013 at 10:00 AM at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 30 Church St., Rte. 85, Hebron. Burial will follow in West Street Cemetery, Columbia. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Columbia Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 26, Columbia, CT 06237.
