I am only guessing that he was buried in the Grawn Churchyard but it seems more likely than in Modreeny as David Stevens suggests, which was exclusively a Church of Ireland cemetery by that time.

I downloaded the marriage record of this couple from the RootsIreland.ie website today (a pay as you go site) in hopes that it would have the full names of their parents. It did not. The possibility exists however that these names are given on the original church record and not transcribed by this website as I have seen such omissions before on data that they sell.

I was able to download an image and a transcript of the church register today from FMP. It does not give the names of the parents. The transcript gave the date of marriage as 26 January 1856 but a careful look at the image of the register shows this was an error in the transcript and it was in fact January 20, 1856. I reported this to FMP and upon review they agreed with me and corrected the transcript.

General:
The spelling of Daniel Hough's (Howe) last name is corrupted or spelt differently in different records. This was very common for this surname. In Australia, where many of the descendents now live, they are all known as Howe according to Jamie who has visited several of them. Strangely enough, the Whelans who emigrated to Australia at the same time had their names changed to Phelan! (Source: letter to Jamie from her Auntie Elizabeth dated 11 Sept 1991).

According to Jamie's Auntie Elizabeth, they returned to Ireland when his father had died and he inherited a farm at Knocknacree, Cloughjordan. Although the two eldest sons were born in Australia (and Jim returned there at 21), many of their children were born in Cloughjordan, including Jamie's Grannie Bridget.

I found a family tree owned by David Stevens, a New Zealander, on Ancestry.com that provides information on Daniel Hough and Elizabeth or Betty Whelan. I have sent a message to him asking how certain he is of his information.I am copying over some of the data but may have to remove it if he reports that the reliability of the information is in question.

Here is an enquiry he made years ago but which received no response:

In the 1911 Census he is shown as being a retired farmer of 86 years of age living with his son Patrick and is described as "Lunatic" and "Unable to Read and Write Now". I would assume that this means he was suffering from dementia but they did not use that term in those days. He is a widower, as his wife died some years before this.

From Beaghmere, County Tipperary when married. Immigrated to Adelaide, Australia c1857, probably had to pay their own way as the gold rush was on. Then went to Melbourne and Bendigo. Returned to Ireland with family (2 children) in 1863, via Suez Canal (to Cloughjordan in Tipperary). Of Knocknacree when daughter Bridget baptised (1863).

Between 1863 and 1866 had taken over the occupancy of land in Killurane previously occupied by John HURLEY (map reference 7) of 58 acres 3 perches 8 roods and continued to occupy to about 1870.

Valuation Roll for 1869 - 1879 shows that plot 15a Knockanacree consisting of house office and land 2 acres 2 roods 32 perches previously occupied by Bridget HOUGH transferred to Daniel HOUGH. Daniel still shown as occupier in the 1879-1882, 1881-1889, and 1889-1908 rolls. The 1908-1930 roll shows the occupancy changed to Thomas BUTLER in 1911 then to Patrick HOUGH in 1914, John Quinlisk in 1921 and William AUSTIN in 1931.

1901 census in house 4 Knockanacree, Cloghjordan, Tipperary. 1911 census a retired farmer (a widower recorded as lunatic) living with his son Patrick HOUGH (age 42) and family in house 3 Killurane, Mertonhall, Tipperary.

Daughter-in-law Mary HOUGH present when Dan died.

An arrival record for Daniel and Eliza "Hore" from Tipperary in Melbourne on Feb. 19, 1858 appears to pertain to this couple. It was found by David Stevens on Ancestry.com.au. Their stated ages do not conform with what we had from other sources. The manifest shows them as 25 and 23 but they really should be a decade older than that. They were travelling on their own account, meaning that they were not sponsored.

Interestingly, I found another arrival record for a Daniel Hough of Tipperary in 1840, stated age ca 24, on board the Lady MacNaughton arriving in Australia (port not mentioned) on 16 December 1840. This time he was assisted and gave as occupation "groom". One wonders if it is the same person despite the obvious discrepancy in age as stated. On the earlier voyage he may have lied in order to assure that he was accepted. There is a good chance he would have been refused had they known he was only 14. But on the later voyage they paid their own way and there would have been no reason to lie about their ages.
