Notes
General:
Birth District mistakenly spelled as Killruane rather than Killurane by researcher Norah O'Meara at the Tipperary North Family History Foundation(TNFHF).
On her gravestone (photo sent by Jane Leahy) it shows her date of death as 3 Dec. 1953. See Photo on James Quinlisk's (son's) page.[Hough.FTW] But note that the gravestone shows the date of death as 4 Dec. 1953. In my experience, dates on gravestones are frequently in error - they cannot be changed once the stone is carved so the error is permanent.
Notes from David Stevens:
Was living in Lahawn [Loughaun] when she was present at the death of her mother Elizabeth HOUGH at Knockanacree 27 July 1903.
1911 census shown as married 23 years having 10 children and all are still living.
In the 1908-1930 Valuation Roll it is recorded that Bridget took over the occupancy of the land combined plots 5 and 6 in Loughaun comprising of house office and lands of 57 acres 3 roods 15 perches. In the 1930-1941 Roll Bridget is still in occupancy however the total land is now shown as 59 acres 2 roods 35 perches. The 1941-1968 Roll shows that the occupancy changed to Patrick QUINLISK in 1955.
In Mary WHELAN's notebook there is a comment "My father called to see Brigid 2 weeks before she died (to make his peace) urged rest of Hough family to do so (it didn't work).
