John "Jack" Neilon

NEILON, John Jack" July 22, 1924 November 8, 2009 In his lovably stubborn fashion, Jack got his way, managing to live independently in his home until his final brief bout in hospital. Surrounded by family, Jack left to join the love of his life, his wife Marg (died September 3, 1997). As son, brother, uncle, father, grandfather and great grandfather, Jack was a compassionate, kind and loving man. This generosity of spirit touched many people in every area of his life. He had a passion for fishing in his younger years, followed by an even bigger passion for golf in his later years, when he managed to tally up five hole-in-ones! Still loved and remembered fondly by his family: daughter Helen and son-in-law Al Job, daughter Peg and son-in-law Howard Katz, daughter Catherine and son-in-law Chris Nnaegbunam, grandchildren Jason Job (Fiona), Michelle Guerrero (Thomas), Corry Job (Fabian), Taiga Peden (Marisa), Erin Peden (Janine), Francisca Ferrel and greatgrandchildren Juniper Job and Elliot Guerrero. Service: 12:10PM Friday, November 13th, 2009 at St Patrick's Church, 2060 Haultain St, Victoria BC. Reception following at the church.
