Curious that this name does not appear among the children of this marriage in Leonard Furneaux's Rootsweb family tree even though he has all the others and their dates of birth, including one who died as an infant.
250818:
This child is questionable at the moment. The baptism record evidently accepted by Aunt Jean as for James Graham actually says:
"1759 Decr. 25 James son of Mr. Gaime"
How she came to the conclusion that this actually referred to Christopher Graham is not clear.
I am including the record of baptism here nevertheless pending further proof one way or the other.
It is a fact that there was a James Graham in Dartmouth as his burial record is found in the St. Saviour's register

I may have James wrongly positioned as a son of Christopher Graham. He is not mentioned in the will of Elizabeth [Graham] Ellis, even though his brother and two sisters are named there. Needs more research. It is also possible that he had died before 1844 when Elizabeth died.

There is a very scant record in the register of the independent parish in Dartmouth which I found at the MHA in St. John's. I believe the transcript made by Keith Matthews may be abbreviated and there may be more details in the original. What Keith has transcribed is as follows:
Baptism: 1752(I'm going on the date of the person above as this space is left blank in the transcript) Surname: Graham Christian Name: Francis Father/Mother: Chris
That's all there is. It seems likely that this refers to Francis Graham, brother-in-law of Matthew Morry.
I think the children would have been christened in the "dissenter" church because, being of Scottish ancestry, the family was most likely Presbyterian to begin with and would have preferred not to attend one of the Anglican parishes in town.

081106: She apparently died a spinster as she was buried as Jane Graham (or Jannet as it says on her gravestone, seen at St. Saviour in 2006). I do not know the identity of the woman also memorialised on that stone or her relationship, if any to Jennett. I suspect they were simply "companions", as females living together were known in those days.
110114:
This is supported by her mother's Will, in which she is named as a spinster.
090725:
Correction to the above notation dated 081106: The woman who is buried with her is her sister, Elizabeth, who was married to James Ellis of Bideford. At this time it is still not known where he is buried or when he died but Elizabeth was a widow at the time of her death and was childless.
The stone reads:
SACRED
to the Memory of
Jannett Graham who
Died Decr 25 1835 Aged 78
also Elizth Ellis who died June
18th 1844 Aged 76

It took several years to piece together the relationship of this person to the rest of the Graham family. He is mentioned on the family memorial in St. Saviour's churchyard but his date of death and age did not immediately assist in identifying his parents. It was not until I downloaded a copy of his Will from the National Archives website today (it is virtually illegible and I have requested a better copy) that I discovered he was the son of a Christopher Graham and his sister was Mary Graham (unmarried). Considering his age, that Christopher Graham could only be the one born ca 1772 for whom I had never previously had a spouse or children.
Note that Noah Clift was his executor and trustee. Noah was the son of George Clift and Sarah Graham, John's aunt.

Today I received a much clearer copy of the Will from the National Archives with their apologies as to the quality of the first scan. I was able to make a transcript (copy in the Media folder) without any errors I believe. It contains a great deal of information on the family but does not explain how he became so wealthy. I wonder if he may have been a privateer and did not want to profess this as his occupation.
