Passed peacefully on Sunday, July 21, 2002 at the Interfaith Home, Sarah Lavina Carter at the age of 90. She will be remembered with fond and loving memories by her son Reginald Carter (Sharon), Corner Brook; daughters: Violet Gregory (Winston), Orrilla, ON, Elizabeth Reeve (Richard), Washington, Margaret Brenner (John), Whiting, Iowa, Audrey Carberry (Ross), Corner Brook, Sandra Taylor, Halifax, NS; 19 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; brother Edgar Parsons, sister Marie Blackwood (Jim), sister-in-law Kathleen Parsons and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Frederick Carter, January 16, 1998, brother Captain Herbert Parsons, sister-in-law Nita Parsons. The family will be receiving friends at Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark's Avenue, Monday from 7-9 p.m. followed by a private family service on Tuesday, July 23rd. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers memorial donations to the Children's Wish Foundation will be graciously accepted.
