Enid's email of 03/05/00: " Arthur md Johannah Coady dgt of James Coady and Bridget Boland. I would like to point out that Johannah's sister, Bridget, married Peter Morry and they moved out to BC. Bridget lived to be 104-106 years old, her sister lived to be 102 and their other sisters were all in their 80s-90s."

270708: I am not entirely sure that the gravestone picture is actually that of this pair. Despite the similarity in names and in the dates for Arthur. The date of death for Johanna is way off. This needs investigating with Enid O'Brien.

Hi Chris:

Re Grandma Johanna (Coady) Carew.

Grandma was 85 yrs old when she died. She was born in September 1882 (I am not sure of the day) and died December 1, 1967. Her sister, Mary (Coady) O'Brien (who is Cyril's grandmother) was born Jan 1, 1874 and died Oct 2, 1974, 100 years, 10 months. Her sister-in-law (who I think you are talking about, Sarah (O'Brien) Carew (wife of Arthur Carew's brother, Ernest) was born June 2, 1880 and died 4 December 1983 at 103 years. Also, Johannah (Coady) Carew's sister, Bridget (Coady) Morry, (md Peter Morry and lived in BC) was 106 years when she died. I believe you have the details on Bridget.

Hi Enid:

I broke down recently and bought another one of the many Stonepics CDs I would need to buy to cover all the cemeteries where I suspect I have relatives buried. This CD covers Cape Broyle and one of the cemeteries in Ferryland that I didn't have before.

While going systematically through the Cape Broyle gravestones I found the enclosed which I at first took to be your grandparents. But when I saw the date of death for Johanna I knew that couldn't be right. I'm sure you told me she lived to be around 102 and died in about 1981. This gravestone clearly shows a date of death in 1967.

Can you clear this up for me please?
