Dear Chris:

I am about to send you a few more pictures. I will attach two to this email. One is Clara Isabella Carew dgt Esther Morry/Henry Carew. The other is of Clara's husband John Will Costello. When Clara got married to John on Sunday, April 6, 1913 she went to Ferryland and lived in the lighthouse where John Will was lighthouse keeper. They were married at the residence of Sir Michael Cashin in Cape Broyle and the reception was held at his house (ref. Daily News April 11, 1913). John died quite suddenly on a trip to St. John's on Nov. 20, 1927. Apparently he left Ferryland in good health, came to St. John's, contracted pneumonia, and died a few days later in hospital. (Ref. Even. Telegram Nov. 24/1927). Clara died Mar. 2, 1980 (FD cemetery).

They had 6 children: Mary md. Jack Furlong; Esther md Hugh White; Vincent (not married). Vincent was one of the first 200 naval volunteers in WW11. He didn't marry; Mercedes married Joseph Roper, Bernadette (not married) Leo - not married, served in the merchant navy in WW11. They are all deceased except Mary and Bernadette.
