I had listed this Christopher Graham as a son of Francis Graham based on my understanding of where he stood on the family tree from the family tree of Furneaux.
But I now believe that he was the son of the deceased brother of Elizabeth [Graham] Ellis from the wording in her will and and I have therefore moved him into that family today.

Despite the misspelling of the name there is no doubt that this is the same Christopher Graham who was Master of this vessel on other voyages.

This may or may not be the same vessel that Matthew Morry was shown to be the owner of in various Lloyd's records, so it may be that Christopher Graham and Matthew Morry were de facto partners.• Occupation: Master of BONETTA from Dartmouth to Newfoundland, Between 6 Apr 1775 and 5 Jun 1775, Dartmouth, Devon, England. It is curous that the coasting in Newfoundland and the return to Dartmouth were under a different master, Samuel Fox. • Interesting: Mr. Christopher Graham taken prisoner on "Jersey" 18 days from Newfoundland, Feb 1800, Atlantic Ocean. It would seem very probable that he died during this encounter or was released and then died shortly afterwards due to his injuries.

There is only one person given here whose relationship is unclear. Capt. John Graham could be a grandson of Christopher Graham by any one of three sons for which I presently lack family details.
250716:
I had originally given Matthew Morry's father-in-law, Christopher Graham, credit for being the Captain of all of the vessels mentioned in the Dartmouth Muster Rolls and it may still be true. But it is equally possible that the Captain of these vessels was his son of the same name. There is probably no way to sort this out. In terms of age they could both qualify. But on balance, I now think that captaining a vessel was not a task likely given to a man over 50 in those days and that a younger man would have been favoured for the job.
010317:
I finally sorted it out. From the application for a pension from Trinity House submitted by his widow on 13 Sept. 1810 it is clear from her stated age that this could only be Christopher Jr. who was the Master of these vessels. Therefore I am removing these "Occupation" facts from Christopher Sr. today. See notes below that I have just recorded on his widow, Mary's page:
010317:
In aunt Jean's notes sent to me by Karen in 2002, I came upon some pages Karen had personally copied from a book according to her marginal notes. I assume she was in Britain at either the National Archives or the Devon Archives in Exeter. These pages record the successful application made on behalf of Mary Graham, widow of Christopher Graham, for a pension from Trinity House. These pensions were evidently intended for mariners widows and families left destitute by their death at sea. That said, whilst the petition was submitted in 1810, it was not approved by the board, which included members by the name of Robert Holdsworth and William Newman and two others not so obviously associated with the Newfoundland trade, William Drake and ???. The petition notes that Christopher Graham was the "Master on board the ST. GEORGE sailing from Dartmouth to Newfoundland and abroad. Left 5 Children." It seems odd that she would have waited so long after his death to apply for a pension and even odder that his five children should have been taken into account as a just cause for granting a pension given that they were all adults by 1815. Curiously, his days as the Master of the ST. GEORGE were long since past by then, having taken place in the early 1770s.
Apparently Mary removed a few years from her age and reported she was 62 when she applied for the pension. According to her gravestone, she would have been 65

I250818:
To clarify the issue of his baptism, this record is found in the register at St. Saviour's and the name as shown there was Christopher Graham Churchwill because his parents were not married at the time of his birth. But it does appear that once they were married, Christopher reverted to using his father's surname in lieu of that of his mother.
Also interestingly, once his parents were married (again at St. Saviour's) they changed churches and their subsequent children were baptised at the Presbyerian (dissenters) church.
060725:
In the will of Elizabeth [Graham] Ellis, she refers to this Christopher Graham as her "reputed" brother, suggesting that at least in the family there was still some lingering doubt about his actual parentage.
