From this we know the correct spelling of the name Eagen as well as their stated dates of birth (often given falsely) and place of birth. It also suggests that both William and Frederick were single at the time. We know from Ted Thomson's aunt Edna that Fred never married but William did - not once but twice. So these marriages must have occurred after 1921.

We don't know where exactly they lived except that it was on Hamilton Avenue in Ward 1 in the west end. The dwelling numbers on this census do not correspond with street numbers unfortunately.

Email from Enid O'Brien 27/02/02: When William died besides Mrs. Brehm he left another sister, Mrs. Patrick Egan. I have come across Mrs. Egan previously but I am not sure if she would be Elizabeth or Margaret?
