Email to Lanny explaining my theories at this time:
No, that one escaped me. But for years now I've been trying to get her brother, Father Matthew Morry, to respond to my emails and letters without success. Since I always say in such epistles that if I don't hear back from you I will take it to mean you are either not related ornot interested in genealogy in general and will therefore not pester you any more, I can't really bring myself to phoning him, though I do have his number. You probably recall I recently asked Geoffrey and thelist if anyone had anything on Matthew and his family (he does not occur in the database). Geoffrey said no and no one else contacted me.
There is a possibility that these are the same family of Italian immigrants that Bryan Morry, the publicist for the New England Patriots, hails from. There name changed from some Italian equivalent only in thegeneration of his grandfather, which would be the good Sister's father if that were the case.
The other possibility is that they are of French ancestry. There wasa Matthew Morry a couple of centuries ago who was a priest in Québec and I have never been able to establish any connection between him andour family. Our family was of course solidly C of E in those days. Sothe name Matthew would have been pure coincidence.
The interesting thing is that the names of the sister's relatives, with the exception of Matthew, are neither typical of our family, nor are they typically Italian or French or Irish, where other Morry's havehailed from. So the final possibility is that they are of German descent. There are German Morrys.
Thanks for showing me this. I will send it on to Geoffrey to renew the enquiry.

Enid O'Brien email 01/09/00:
"They [George William Morry and Mary Kathryn Marshall] had 4 dgts and one son. The daughters didn't marry, one went in the convent, one was a school teacher and the other one worked in business."
111204: The 1930 Census lists her at home with her mother (father deceased 1926) at age 23, born about 1907. Her place of residence at the time of the census was: Seattle, King, Washington
150110: Carol Hutchison believes that she was also a nun but I have no other information to support this. However she was not married.
161214:
Lucille's birth does not appear in the Ancestry.com version of the Washington Birth Register. It is possible that it is there but has been indexed incorrectly and so cannot be found.
150116:
I later found her birth record but her Christian name was not recorded. Her name was actually spelled "Lucile", not "Lucille" as I had thought and as is normal.

Here is the full obituary from the Winnipeg Free Press:
MANUEL MORRY Surrounded by the love of his family, our beloved father and grandfather, Manuel Morry, passed away on Friday, December 20, 2013 at the Simkin Centre. Manuel was the devoted husband of the late Freda Naomi, the love of his life. Manuel will be lovingly remembered by his children, Laurelyn (Paul Cantor), Susan (Paco Castillo), and Sheryl (Shawn Nichols), cherished grandchildren, Daniel, Jared (Mia Jacobs), and Evan Cantor (Rossara Vizhgorodsky), Shael, Farah, and Aleyah Nichols, and Talia Morry-Castillo. He will be greatly missed by his brothers, Julius (Shirley) and Bernard, as well as his sister-in-law Bernice Levine-Rissin, brother-in-law Mel Kliman (Eve) and sister-in-law Sharon Earn (Brian), and many loving relatives and friends. Manuel was predeceased by his parents, Lily and Saul Morry, and his in-laws, Sarah and Sam Kliman. Manuel was born in Winnipeg on April 3, 1928, the eldest of three boys. He attended Aberdeen School and St. John's High School. He graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy in 1953. He began working as a pharmacist at Tower Drugs on McGregor Street. In 1965, Manny owned and operated Plaza Drugs in Munroe Shopping Centre with his business partner, Max Cohen, and then, in September, 1980, Manny became an Associate of Shoppers Drug Mart's 400th store in Canada in the Kildonan Place Shopping Centre. After working with Shoppers Drug Mart for a number of years, Manny worked for the Manitoba Government, Employment and Economic Security and the Pharmacist Liason Services Branch as the Pharmacy Coordinator. Manny was also at the forefront of a whole new area of international prescription pharmacies in Manitoba. He was at the centre of the development of standards of practice and procedures to provide safe and effective services to consumers from the United States. The pharmacist is often the member of the health care team taken most for granted. Not Manny. He was known and loved by his patients for the time, care and attention he paid to each of them. On April 27, 2003, Manny was presented with a 50 year gold pin from the Manitoba Pharmaceutical Association, honouring his 50 years of dedicated service to his community. Over those 50 years, Manny was a teacher and mentor to countless young pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. Manuel and Freda shared a tender, everlasting love. For 60 years, from their marriage on June 24, 1951, they enjoyed traveling, spending summers at Falcon Lake, attending the theatre, symphony, and jazz concerts. Manuel was most proud of his children and grandchildren, and would always tell each of us, "I am so proud of you." Whenever he saw us, his eyes would light up. Manny was an avid reader, and he could discuss history, world events, and politics. He was also an amazing piano player, teaching his children and grandchildren to play Chopsticks and Heart and Soul, as well as an artist, creating masterpieces that we will cherish forever. He was proud of being a Boy Scout Leader, and at the University of Manitoba he was involved in the Alpha Epsilon Pi Fraternity. Whenever he would encounter former boy scouts or fraternity brothers, they would shake my Dad's hand and tell him what a difference he had made in their lives. In September, 2008, our Mom and Dad moved onto the third floor of the Weinberg Building at the Simkin Centre. The nurses, orderlies, health care aides, and all the staff have been so caring, and treated our parents with respect and dignity. Our family would like to thank everyone at the Simkin Centre for their care and kindness over the past few years. There are few people in the world that enjoyed their life with passion, never uttering a negative comment about anyone, and always willing to help however he could the kind of person who had a peaceful outlook on life. He would say, "This too shall pass". People with this nature are very rare. They are special and unique. Manuel was such a person. His brother, Bernard wrote, "We were not 'lucky' to have him, we were blessed'." Funeral service was held on Monday, December 23, 2013 at the Shaarey Zedek Synagogue. The family thanks pallbearers, Paul Cantor, Daniel Cantor, Jared Cantor, Evan Cantor, John Myers, Jeff Morry and Allan Levine, as well as honourary pallbearers, Brian Levine, Joel Levine, and Howard Morry. We also want to thank Rabbi Green for his kindness, and the Shaarey Zedek Synagogue for its handling of the funeral and ancillary services. If so desired, donations can be made to the Manuel and Freda Naomi Morry Memorial Fund at the Jewish Foundation of Manitoba, or to the Spiritual Care Fund at the Simkin Centre. No one could have asked for a more wonderful father and grandfather. No words can express how much he will be missed.
