Evelyn Lorraine Hynes (nee Saunders) - (July 19th, 1944 - March 22nd, 2016)
Passed peacefully away on March 22nd , 2016, surrounded by her Beloved husband of 53 years, Howard Jr. Hynes and her immediate family. Born in Shearstown, NL on July 19, 1944, daughter of the late Edward Saunders and Susannah Saunders (nee Noseworthy). Predeceased by her infant granddaughter, Hailey Elizabeth Namini (1995), her brother Randy and infant sister Elizabeth. Devoted and gentle Mother to Derek Hynes, Ruby Grace and Sheila Hynes. Loving and cherished grandmother to Ryan, Ashley, Liam, Mathew and Reilly. Mother-in-law to Gig (Patricia Hynes) and Byron Grace. Dear sister to Lloyd, Vi, and Gary (Cheryl Saunders). Sister-in-law to Johnny Hynes & Betty, Fred Hynes & Thelma, Phyllis & Roy Walsh and predeceased Kevin Hynes & Josephine. Beloved aunt of many nieces and nephews and leaving behind a large circle of dear friends. Thank you to the staff at the Health Science Cancer Clinic, with particular mention to Dr. Hogan, Dr. Ahmed, and Dr. Stuckless who provided exceptional care to Evelyn during her time of illness. Special thanks to the nursing team of the Community Health Services, and to Dr. Efford and Dr. Brown of the Spaniards Bay Medical clinic who provided Mom with such wonderful care in her final weeks with us. Viewing hours to take place at Moore's Funeral home in Bay Roberts followed by funeral services and cremation. Memorial services and a celebration of her life to take place in Ferryland NL during summer 2016. (Family flowers only) and in lieu of flowers, the family would request in memoriam donations to the Canadian Cancer Society.
