The existence of this person is apocryphal. She was mentioned in both Aunt Jean's and Roberta Sullivan's information but there are no official or church records that I know of that backs this up.

In addition, her name does not appear on the list of surviving children on the Probate application made by Alfred White for administration of his father's estate. It is possible that she died before the father's death. But it is also possible that she was misidentified as a child of this family by both Aunt Jean and Roberta.

This bears further examination.

WHITE-POWER, Maureen
Passed away suddenly at home on Sunday, May 20, 2018, at the age of 61. Maureen was predeceased by her parents, Hugh and Esther White and brother, Michael White of Ferryland. Maureen leaves behind with a lifetime of memories, her husband of 30 years, Joe and his children Lisa and Jimmy; her beloved pet, Daxter; sisters and brothers, Ida, Derek, Roy, Shirley, Doris, Dolores, Carl, Kevin and Jean as well as the Power family and brothers and sisters-in-law. Maureen will be so deeply missed by her loving nieces and nephews for her most generous heart, as well as a large circle of relatives and friends. Maureen was the spark in our family and we loved her so much. Cremation has taken place, a private family funeral service will take place from Caul's Funeral Home Chapel on LeMarchant Road on Friday, May 25, 2018 at 11am. In lieu of flowers, donations in Maureen's memory may be made to the SPCA.

Note that, in the actual parish register, it is stated that the marriage took place in the RC Chapel at "Grannorish". But no such Townland is known to have existed in the area of Cloughjordan or in any other part of Tipperary for that matter. Moreover, the only RC Chapel known to have been in operation at that time was the one at Garrane (also spelled Grawn). This is the first time that I have ever seen mention of another chapel in operation in this parish at that time and I wonder if it is a mistake in the register. I think that it actually says "Grawnoris" which may have been another name for Grawn.
