I found this birth in the photocopy of the register of St. Nicholas Church, Shaldon, at MHA today. The name seems to be clearly spelled Morry, but the name of the father is only abbreviated and appears to be Wm for William. The mother is also named Mary. None of this fits with existing information that I have on Morrys so I have put it in as an unconnected record for now.

I am adding this child to this marriage as a temporary place holder because there is a Mary Morry who was buried at St. Clement Townstall on Oct. 8, 1820 at the age of 78 who should have been single since there was no mention of a berieved husband or that she was a widow. All the other Mary Morrys (or Moreys) who are potential contenders to fit this burial record were married and would have been buried under their married surname, or if they were married to a Morey man, that would have been mentioned on the burial register. Still, it is highly speculative and requires further research to even prove the existence of a third child in for this couple.

Note that there is definitely no baptism record for a person of this name at about this time in the St. Clement's register, which I have scoured in its original form on FindMyPast.

BDM cites death notice which appeared on 16 Nov 1886 in: 1) Evening Telegram (Telegram) 1879-
Her surname is given as Morey and her place of abode Fort Townshend, St. John's. Her parents names are given as Henry and Ann so it is definitely Mary Morry. Whether the transcription was in error or they actually went by the spelling Morey is not clear.
It reports that Deceased was the infant daughter of Henry and Ann Morey. [Age not recorded.]
I don't know where I found the date of birth. It could have been copied over in error and I don't have any confidence in it.

Hi again:
This is a picture of Mary Josephine Morry, dgt of George Wm Morry and Mary "Minnie" Marshall. She was born Aug. 3, 1912 in Seattle. She died 1986. She joined the Sisters of Notre Dame in 1931. Ref. Kay Jahn Morry. I believe you have been corresponding with one of Kay's daughters, Barbara Fraumeni. George, as you know is the brother of Esther Graham Carew. He went to Alaska and stroke it rich when he and a friend discovered gold. I have accounts of his venture from the newspapers. The mine is called the Nolan mine (Nolan being his partner). They flipped a coin to see whose name would go on the mine and Nolan won.
John Carew (Esther's son) also was a bit of a prospector and went to Alaska with him. There is some small island there called Carew island (after John). At least that is what I was told. From what I can gather John was one of those "odd-ball" eccentric characters.
Anyway, when George came back to Seattle he married Mary "Minnie" Marshall an Irish girl. They did visit Ferryland after they were married. They had 4 dgts and one son. The daughters didn't marry, one went in the convent, one was a school teacher and the other one worked in business. They had one son, George, who married Kay Jahn on 24/1/1942 and whose family (I understand) is quite wealthy. They had two dgts and one son, George. I think you already know this.
I have corresponded with both George and his mother, Kay. George was practicing law in Hawaii but just as he was about to retire his wife, Susan, got cancer. As far as I know they have moved back to Seattle but I haven't written him for awhile because I don't know the situation. He seems like such a nice person and quite interested in the Morry family. I believe Kay did research long before this became the popular thing to do.

Re: Children of Mary LeMessurier Morry/Dr. Robert Hiliary Carey
Alice Mary Carey was a nurse. She married Dr. R. Almon Brehm on March 26, 1919 @ Brighton, England. Ref. Evening Telegram May 31, 1919.When her husband died there was no mention of children.
Besides the names you have listed there were others as follows:
Hiliary Constantine Carey who married Georgina (dgt of Charles Lester and Mary Emma Winsor - Aquaforte Winsors) on Nov 2, 1918 @ St. Mary's Church on the Southside. Ref. Evening Telegram.
They had one child, Joan Carey who married Robert Breakall on April 7, 1942 in Oshawa. Hiliary died a young man (age 37 years). It is my understanding from a family member that Hiliary had a problem with alcohol. He was an accountant and died Oct. 3, 1921 and lived at Warbury Cottage in St. John's at the time of his death. (Ref. Even Telegram)
There was also a William Morey Carey who died Jan 21, 1954, age 66 years. Left wife, dgt Helen (Mrs. Raymond Butler) and Lena @ home. (Ref. Even Telegram). When William died besides Mrs. Brehm he left another sister, Mrs. Patrick Egan. I have come across Mrs. Egan previously but I am not sure if she would be Elizabeth or Margaret? Also, two brothers, Ernest in Montreal and Fred (of this city - St. John's)
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
140813: No way of knowing when the actual birth took place as it was not recorded on the birth/baptismal record as transcribed on NGB website. What is given here is an error on another transcript which took the baptismal date as the birth date.
080116:
I have added St. Luke's as the place of Christening of the children in this family because it is most logical since the events were recorded at Petty Harbour C of E registry, not at the Cathedral in St. John's.
