Robert William LeMessurier Passed away on: 23/05/2010 Passed peacefully away on May 23, 2010 surrounded by his loving family, Robert William LeMessurier in his 88th year. Predeceased by his sisters, Ruth Guzzwell (St. John's) and Frances Grant (Corner Brook). Leaving to mourn and celebrate his life are his loving wife of 63 years, Emily (Grant), daughters Frances (Mike Langlois (Picton, Ontario), Margaret (James) Cuthbert ( Head of Jeddore, N.S.) and son Bruce (Valerie) of (Calgary, Alberta); brother Walter (Nellie) LeMessurier and sister Cynthia (Roy Murley, both of Corner Brook, six grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; as well as brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Bob was a proud veteran of WWII Royal Navy, a member of the Naval Association, an honourary lifetime member of the Royal Canadian Legion, and a member of the Newfoundland and Labrador Soccer Hall of Fame. He was a kind and gentle man, respected by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave, on Tuesday, May 25, 2010 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place from Barrett's Chapel on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at 12 p.m. with interment to follow at the Field of Honor, Mt. Pleasant cemetery.
